Best Allotment competition

​We're excited to celebrate the hard work, creativity, and green-fingered talent of our local allotment holders in Salisbury!

 

Whether you're a seasoned allotment pro or a passionate beginner, this competition is an opportunity to showcase your gardening skills and inspire others in Salisbury’s allotment holding and gardening community.

 

To enter the competition, you must be a plot holder on an allotment site run by Salisbury City Council. Certificates will be awarded for first place, second place and third place for each category. A cup will be presented to the overall Best Allotment winner at the AGAS 19th Summer Show on 22nd August 2026.

The deadline for entries is 21st August. Judging of the competition will take place 22nd-29th June 2026.

Best Scarecrow competition

Show off your creativity and crafting skills by entering this year’s Best Scarecrow competition! 


This competition is open to children, adults and groups. Adults and groups must be plot holders on an allotment site run by Salisbury City Council, with their scarecrows to be displayed for judging on their plots. Children and accompanying adults who are not allotment holders can also enter, with their scarecrows to be displayed for judging at the ‘Black Crow Meadow’ at the Fisherton Farm Allotment Site.


Certificates will be awarded for first place, second place and third place and a display of all entries will be on show at the AGAS 19th Summer Show on 22nd August 2026. 

The deadline for entries is 2nd August 2026. Judging of the competition will take place 3rd - 9th August 2026.
